Flowering time: May-September. Annual. Native.

Yellow flowers with reflexed sepals and elongated head.
Long-stalked more/less fleshy leaves, 3-lobed. Stem leaves have
shorter stalk. Hollow grooved stem. Height: 20-60cm.
Stunted plants can be found on dryer ground. (Photo bottom right)

Usually on nutrient-rich wet soil, ditches, ponds, streamsides, marshes.
Tolerates salt. Mainly coastal, most frequent NE and E Ireland.
