Flowering time: June-August. Biennial. Native.

Forked cymes of funnel-shaped red-purple flowers. Grey-green downy leaves, smelling of mice. Basal leaves stalked, upper leaves stalkless, lanceolate.
Height: 30-60cm.

Grassland and dunes on light calcareous or sandy soils. Rare, scattered distribution in S, E and central Ireland.
