Pyramidal Orchid Short, very dense conical or dome-shaped spikes of rose-pink flowers, not scented. Flowers occasionally paler pink. Labellum deeply 3-lobed, 2 prominent raised ridges at base of lip. Unspotted leaves, linear-lanceolate, pointed, decreasing in size up stem. Slender stems growing from 2 underground tubers. Height: 25-40cm. Calcareous ground, dunes, grassland, banks. Most frequent in central Ireland. |
