Wood Sage Long racemes of greenish-yellow flowers in opposite pairs. Coralla tube 2 x length calyx. Seeds are smooth nutlets. Stalked leaves are pointed-oval, wrinkled, blunt toothed, downy. Erect stems. Height: 25-60 cm Dry banks, woodland, roadsides, heaths. Frequent in mountain areas. Less common in central Ireland.
