New Zealand Willowherb Pale pink or white flowers on long, slender, erect stalks. Very long, slender seedpods. Small circular-oval leaves, opposite, stalked. Usually green with purplish undersides, sometimes bronzy-coloured. Only central vein clearly indented. Very low-growing spreading plant with stems rooting at nodes. Damp, stony, open ground. Paths, forestry tracks, stream-sides. Introduced from New Zealand, now naturalised and spreading. |
