Flowering: July-August. Perennial climber. Introduced.

Flowers scented, no petals, creamy sepals. Fruit with white feathery styles.
Leaves opposite, pinnate, leaflets oval, pointed, toothed. Woody climbing or scrambling stems. Height: To 25m.

Hedges, wood margins, waste ground.
Less frequent in W and N Ireland.
