Flowering time: April-June. Perennial. Native.

White flowers with divided petals. Bracts like smaller leaves. Pairs of narrow rough-edged linear-lanceolate leaves. Weak stems, more/less upright. Height: 15-60 cm.

Common in hedgebanks, woodland, except on very acid soils.

Similar: Lesser Stitchwort, S. graminea. Smaller, deeper-split petals.
