Yellow flowers, often reddish below, black dots on edges. Orange-red buds. Slender, round, erect, reddish stems. Leaves blunt-oval with transluscent glands. Slender, hairless plant. Height: 20-35cm.

Frequent to locally abundant on dry acidic grassland, heaths, roadsides,
woodland and scrubland.
