Selfheal Terminal spike of purple-blue flowers, occasionally pinkish or white. Calyx and corolla 2-lipped.Hairy bracts. Stalked oval-oblong leaves, toothed or entire. Upper leaves stalkless. Slightly hairy. Creeping runners. Height: To 20cm. Abundant. Damp roadsides, wasteland, grassland, woods, gardens. Similar: Cut-leaved Selfheal, P. laciniata. Cream flowers. Very rare, first recorded in Ireland 1999. |
