Ragged Robin

Flowering time: June-August. Perennial. Native.

Flowers deep pink, can also be white. Sepals united, forming tube.
Each petal is deeply divided into 4 narrow lobes.
Leaves linear-oblong. Prostrate shoots at base, non-flowering.
Slender, erect, sparsely hairy plant. Height: 30-75 cm.

Damp ground, marshes, meadows, roadsides, open damp woodland.
Abundant throughout Ireland.
