Pignut Umbels of white flowers, 6-10 rayed. Drooping in bud. Leaves finely-cut, mainly basal, withering soon after flowering. Erect, slender plant with globular, deep-buried tubers. Smooth, often zig-zag stem, hollow after flowering. Height: 30-50 cm Very frequent in dry woods, old grasslands, heaths. Prefers light soils. |
